I’ve seen a lot of people struggling with glowdar, often taking more time than is necessary. Hopefully this video can be a good resource for anyone that is struggling to overlap it during the route. Be sure to read the glowdar explanation post by ClearColdWater too.
After doing this a lot with standard piedar, I found that diagonal spawners were especially problematic for me with glowdar, as I began to doubt whether I’d read the numbers correctly etc, before considering the possibility that it was two spawners or diagonal. So, I decided to investigate alternative piedar methods, and figured that simple negative piedar would be the best option after considering the chunk borders that are easy to cross and the crossings you already make while executing the route. Since only one chunk border is easily accessible, simple negative piedar makes it simple to be able to check those two directions fully overlapped in the route and then check the third and fourth directions in the case where it was neither of the convenient directions, and of course eliminates the possibility of it being diagonal. Here’s a demo of me using this in the one of the worse cases. If anyone has any feedback on whether a different piedar strategy would be more optimal or any optimizations to the order that I execute things here then I would be interested to hear it.
